BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION


The jobholder will provide guidance and assistance to ICE management on all criminal, investigative, legal, and socio-political issues, and in the development, functioning, administration, reporting, and compliance of all aspects of Post’s Customs and Immigration mission to include the Visa Security Program, inclusive of comprehensive visa application review, counter-terrorism investigations, criminal investigations, data analysis, liaison activities, and training. The jobholder defines program goals in conjunction with the Attaché and Assistant Attaches, devises work-plans to achieve said goals, plans and initiates investigations, advises consular personnel at all US missions in ICE/Riyadh’s area of responsibility and other government officers in matters of fraud, US law, criminal and administrative proceedings, and other issues on a routine basis, acts as a consultant and primary point of contact to numerous external host Government, non-Government, third country law enforcement and private sector contacts. Incumbent will research, receive, store, draft, edit, disseminate all pertinent information and correspondence, ensures all ICE functions are completed in a timely, efficient,
and appropriate manner, and perform other ICE duties as directed by the ICE Attaché and/or Assistant Attaches.



QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED


NOTE:

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in any of a number of fields of study that required extensive analysis, research, writing, prioritization, problem-solving and creative thinking such as Criminal Justice, Computer Science, Accounting, Economics, General Science etc.

2. Experience: One to three years of progressively responsible experience in investigative work with police, military, private security or US Government organization is required. One year of administrative and/or general clerical work is required.

3. Language Requirements: Level IV (Fluent) in English and Arabic (Speaking, Reading, & Writing) is required.

4. Knowledge/Other Criteria: The position holder must be familiar with DHS/ICE Investigation Program, U.S. Code of Federal Regulations.

5. Other Skills: Incumbent must possess good analytical, advisory, representational/liaison, prioritization and drafting skills as well as the ability to absorb and understand highly complex information and/or trends and develop a strategy to respond thereto, respond to various queries, both official and public. IT software knowledge must include standard Microsoft Office Package and specialized DHS software. Incumbent must be able to manage sudden shifts in priorities, work extended hours without advance notice, provide after-hours support to POCs and travel abroad on short notice.
