SALES DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Our client is a leading apparel and lifestyle retailer with a strong brand presence across the region with standalone stores and concept corners.
You will be part of a dynamic and vibrant team reporting directly to the General Manager.
This is an exciting role for someone who loves sports, enjoys sales and has excellent client relationship building skills.
This role has several key areas of focus including distributor management, range management and sales management.
It will involve business plan activation, tactical sales plan implementation and appointment / cancellation of distributors.
You will need to receive the distributors for the sell-in process and work closely with them to build a strong product range plan and apply your market knowledge and sales techniques.
There will be pre-orders to collect and collate as well as open-to-buy orders that you will need to manage. In addition, you will need to monitor and track pricing for each territory and make price adjustments where necessary.
Whilst you are not responsible for the creation of trade marketing activities, you will need to ensure they are implemented and liaise with the marketing team with customer feedback.
The type of KPIs that you will be working to will include market share growth, sell through and budget compliance.
This role will not have any direct reports but you will have to work very closely with the sales teams of the distributor and be proactive and make sure you get their “buy in”.
This role will involve intensive travel at certain sales times.
To be considered, you must have good MS Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint, a university degree with a sales or marketing focus and an excellent regional exposure.
All candidates must have 5 years of relevant sales experience ideally in the sports or fashion sector, be fluent in English and Arabic (French would be a big advantage.).
