9. Perform data mining to identify trends / patterns,
predict customer needs and/or behavior and guide
decision-making (e.g., what are the characteristics of
accounts that generate the lowest/ highest revenue?).
Other responsibilities
-Guide business users through the available
information and analytics, making sure that the user
understands correctly the information used or
available, or, if the exact information is not
available and a proxy is used, the impact of this
proxy is clear to the user.
-Identify, collect, understand, analyze, define,
organize and document business requirements from the
business users and management.
-Guide business users to “self service” wherever
possible.
-Explore the possibilities to satisfy requirements
with the reports or the information already available
in the MIS environment, positively influencing
requirements in cooperation with the end users and
leveraging efforts already done for (or by) other
business lines.
-Coordinate and collaborate with others in analyzing
collected requirements.
-Define queries and configure meaningful, actionable
reports using the SAS tool if requirements of the
business users can not be met with the reports or the
information already available in the MIS environment.
-Support all departments in the use and interpretation
of MIS reports.
-Initiate Change Requests for IT related to
information not available in the BI environment,
according to prioritization set by the BSO manager and
following SDLC standards.
-Follow-up / manage the processing of the CR through
the SDLC cycle and keep the users informed
-Identify “best Practices” in the business lines and –
if relevant – leverage to the rest of Riyad Bank.
-Monitor UAT and have the final Go / No Go decision
-Provide user training, if required, for newly
developed KPI’s, reports, analytics and scoring
models.
-Keep business metadata up-to-date and – if
inaccuracies encountered – escalate to BSO manager
-Report every data quality problem (existing or
suspected) in the BI environment to the BSO manager
-Keep user documentation up to date – constantly
improve content, lay out etc where relevant
-Provide functional “help” and support to the
end-users, after the call has been filtered and
dispatched by the BSO manager.
Additional accountabilities as a senior team member
-Take final responsibility for the documentation of
the business definition of the Key Performance
Indicators and attributes.
-Take final responsibility for the organization of the
end-user training.
-Provide technical and functional coaching to junior
resources (career and development coaching will be
responsibility of the BSO manager).
-Conduct other projects or special assignments as
required.
-Provide analytical support to the business managers
with the responsibility of accurately reporting data
to all the business lines.
