Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will have academic, managerial and administrative responsibilities in the Office of the Dean of Faculty in three academic units; College of Business, College of Engineering and College of Science & General Studies.
As part of the Faculty Management team, the Assistant Dean for Women will serve a major supportive function to the Dean in terms of the strategic, academic and operational management of the Faculty.
The Assistant Dean will be responsible for various activities associated with the enrolment of women, and their progression through their academic programs at the university.
These activities would include, but not be limited to, student recruitment, admission, advising, and counseling. The Assistant Dean for women will be the formal channel for communication with women in the academic unit and responsible for conveying the needs and expectations of women students to the Academic Deans and Administration at Al-faisal University.
Although reporting to the academic dean of the college, the Assistant Dean for Women will coordinate duties and functions with the office of the Provost, and is also expected to have teaching responsibilities within the academic unit.
Qualification:
A PhD in a discipline appropriate for the relevant academic unit.
A high record of successful visionary and collaborative leadership; strong management, communication and fund-raising skills; commitment to share governance with faculty, staff and students; personal and professional integrity and credibility.

The Director of AQA is charged with obtaining and maintaining accreditation through the NCAAA (National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment) for all applicable and Ministry of Higher Education Approved Programs. In addition, the Office also supports Professional Discipline Specific Accreditations In the Colleges. Specific tasks Include assessment system; external national survey requests; preparing internal annual reports and strategic plans; fact book and reports to the trustees; and graduate, employer, and support office satisfaction surveys. This Director reports to the VPM and Provost.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise the Office of Accreditation and Quality Assurance Including development of policies and procedures.
Work as Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO), overseeing and/ or coordinating accreditation activities of the University with respect to the NCMA, MOHE, institutional accreditation bodies outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including college and/or discipline-specific accreditation agencies. Collaboration with faculty and Deans, to develop and monitor for continuous improvement in the quality of Al-faisal’s academic programs, services, and curricular delivery.
Oversee the Assistant Director of Institutional Research and reporting on institutional and programmatic self-studies for accreditation preparation and writing comprehensive Quality Enhancement Plans. Oversee the development and implementation of a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP).
Qualifications:
Ph.D. in a recognized academic field, preferably from a reputable North American institution.
Significant administrative leadership experience in both US and Middle East universities or colleges.
Commitment to enhancing educational programs in diverse cultural, Quality Assurance, and socioeconomic environments.
Record of excellence in higher education and academic qualifications that merit a senior faculty appointment.
Commitment to student academic success and teaching effectiveness.
Demonstrated experience of technology applications in higher education.
The ability to initiate, plan, implement and evaluate the success of projects.
Strong quantitative skills; proficiency with current statistics software. Excellent written and oral presentation skills in English and Arabic.
